Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Technology Support Specialist to address our IT requirements. Our team, both on-site and remote, will depend on your approachable demeanor, technical expertise, and prompt support for resolving network, hardware, and software challenges across multiple platforms. This role will also involve optimizing computer system functionalities by analyzing technical applications and proposing enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure software and hardware, including computers, printers, and networking devices.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of computer equipment and manage the receipt of IT-related materials.
- Perform necessary maintenance on various equipment and software, ensuring all hardware and licensing inventories are current.
- Provide timely technical troubleshooting and support for staff, collaborating with departments to deliver effective solutions.
- Assess system expansions or enhancements by analyzing workload and system capacity.
- Oversee system security, data backups, and software updates.
- Achieve system objectives by gathering relevant data, evaluating options, and recommending actions.
- Confirm program specifications by testing new software and comparing them with established standards.
- Enhance existing programs by reviewing objectives and suggesting modifications.
- Evaluate vendor-supplied software for compatibility with current systems.
- Maximize hardware and software usage by training users and providing clear instructions.
- Document hardware and software changes to maintain historical records.
- Stay updated on industry trends by attending workshops and engaging with professional networks.
- Contribute to team goals by achieving related results as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional IT experience.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with skills in research, analysis, and solution implementation.
- Experience in managing IT systems and troubleshooting issues.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configurations.
- Proficient in Windows and MAC operating systems.
- Experience in hardware setup, including network design and implementation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, DevOps, Teams, and Intune.
- Aptitude for learning complex technical aspects of software applications.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical personnel.
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Proven skills in managing vendor relationships.
- Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
