Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Support Specialist to join our team in Elizabethtown, PA. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our computer systems, hardware, and software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure software and hardware, including desktop/laptop computers, printers, network equipment, and switches.
  • Maintain accurate computer inventory and tracking, as well as receiving computer-related materials.
  • Conduct necessary maintenance on equipment and software, including desktop computers, laptops, studio equipment, technology carts, mobile devices, software, telephony, and VoIP.
  • Provide accurate and timely technical troubleshooting, repair, and problem resolution support for staff.
  • Evaluate expansions or enhancements by studying workload and capacity of computer systems.
  • Manage system security, data backups, and software patches.
  • Achieve computer system objectives by gathering pertinent data, identifying and evaluating options, and recommending a course of action.
  • Confirm program objectives and specifications by testing new programs, comparing programs with established standards, and making modifications.
  • Improve existing programs by reviewing objectives and specifications, evaluating proposed changes, recommending changes, and making modifications.
  • Evaluate vendor-supplied software by studying user objectives, testing software compatibility with existing hardware and programs.
  • Maximize use of hardware and software by training users, interpreting instructions, and answering questions.
  • Prepare reference materials for users by writing operating instructions.
  • Maintain historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of professional IT experience.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong skills in research, analysis, solution validation, and implementation.
  • Experience managing IT systems and applications, troubleshooting, and repairing issues.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configurations.
  • Experience/knowledge of Windows and MAC OS.
  • Experience with hardware setup, including network design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, including Office, SharePoint, DevOps, Teams, and Intune.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to learn complex technical aspects of a software application.
  • Self-directed with a high degree of initiative and the ability to perform with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new environments.
  • Excellent communication (written, listening, verbal) and interpersonal skills working with technical and non-technical personnel at all organizational levels.
  • CRM experience, Salesforce preferred.
  • Proven vendor relationship management skills.
  • Ability to remain poised and calm when faced with difficult situations.
