Position Overview: The Community Development Institute Head Start is seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to take on the role of Lead Educator and Center Coordinator. This individual will manage the daily operations of our educational center, ensuring compliance with all relevant childcare regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with parents and the community
  • Supervising all staff members at the center
  • Collaborating with a team of educators, administrators, and families to provide exceptional educational experiences for our students

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a profound understanding of effective teaching methodologies for young children in a Head Start environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (Equivalent qualifications will be evaluated)
  • Compliance with state licensing requirements

Work Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 42 weeks per year

Job Type: Full-time

Preferred Certifications:

  • CPR Certification
  • AA Degree in Early Childhood Education (Required)
