KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct analyses of products, raw materials, and specific packaging materials utilizing established chemical and physical analytical methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in the validation and implementation of analytical methods.
  • Review laboratory data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead investigations into Out of Specification (OOS) results and document findings appropriately.
  • Troubleshoot analytical equipment, perform routine maintenance, and conduct operational qualifications of laboratory instruments.
  • Maintain an orderly and sanitized laboratory workspace.
  • Prepare reports as necessary.
  • Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Perform analytical testing using Gas Chromatography (GC) and/or Liquid Chromatography (LC) techniques.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Prior experience in a cGMP environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Solid aseptic techniques.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential overtime.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry.

OR

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of three years of laboratory experience in a cGMP setting.
  • Laboratory knowledge acquired through academic or professional experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for on-call weekends.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
  • Three or more years of experience in a cGMP laboratory environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with standard practices and procedures in the chemistry field.
