Position Summary:
We are seeking a Lead Analytical Chemist to spearhead testing initiatives and contribute to our scientific strategies. This role involves identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in laboratory processes, ensuring alignment with technological advancements and analytical strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and execute advanced chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished OTC products.
2. Set up, calibrate, maintain, and operate laboratory equipment, including FTIR, spectrophotometers, HPLC, and ICP-MS.
3. Conduct thorough product analyses based on specific product requirements, including API, excipients, and blends.
4. Maintain and update work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
5. Provide mentorship and technical support to laboratory staff, including chemists and technologists.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Research & Development, production, and regulatory affairs.
7. Investigate out-of-specification results and implement corrective actions.
8. Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice regulations and relevant SOPs.
9. Drive process optimization and efficiency improvements within the Quality Control department.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Strong technical writing skills and ability to produce technical documentation.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret complex documents and communicate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
- Certified training in relevant analytical techniques.
- In-depth understanding of LIMS systems and analytical software platforms.
