Electrical Commissioning Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that electrical systems in complex facilities and mission-critical projects are properly commissioned and functioning as intended.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in daily commissioning activity meetings to discuss equipment pre-start-up procedures, standard operating procedures, and comprehensive commissioning documentation.
  • Develop and maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and other tools to track commissioning projects.
  • Write comprehensive reports that include recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, lists of deficiencies, equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Verify results of test reports and assist with field troubleshooting of commissioned equipment as needed.
  • Develop and administer functional tests for various systems, such as electrical distribution systems, switchboards, UPS, PDUs, STS, and standby generators.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the Electrical Mission Critical Field.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working in complex facilities or mission-critical projects is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interface with clients, contractors, equipment vendors, and owners' agents.
  • Commissioning certification or PE is a plus.
