Electrical Systems Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Insight Global. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for directly supporting operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, and event support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the design for existing data center upgrades and solutions that add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.
  • Lead, review, and approve designs for existing colocation (colo) data center upgrades that improve availability and efficiency.
  • Interface with internal data center design engineering team, server hardware team, and environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer - Electrical Systems Design and Construction Design.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Electrical engineering-related experience with a focus on MV/LV switchgear, panel boards, PDC, and protection controls.
  • Experience working in large data centers from start to finish (empty warehouse to fully functioning data center).
