HSE Specialist for Frac, Drilling, and Completions

Job Summary:

Industrial Safety Solutions is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in the Permian Basin. As a key member of our Safety and Environment Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our employees and contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Safety Initiatives: Develop and implement safety programs to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Conduct Safety Audits: Perform regular audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Investigate Incidents: Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Develop and Maintain Safety Procedures: Create and update safety procedures, including Permit to Work, Isolations, and Job Safety Analysis.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with team leaders and employees to promote a culture of safety, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in emergency response exercises to ensure preparedness and familiarity with procedures.
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis: Identify potential hazards and conduct risk assessments to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Lessons Learned: Share lessons learned from audit findings and incident investigations to improve safety performance.
  • Daily Safety Reporting: Input information into our Daily Safety Report to track and analyze safety performance.

Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of Relevant Experience: Proven experience in Health and Safety, with a focus on Oil and Gas operations, land-based Frac, Drilling, and Completions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Broad knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment issues, procedures, and regulations as they apply to Oil and Gas operations.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex topics to various audiences.
  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to independently plan and prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
