Chief Information Technology Officer

The Chief Information Technology Officer provides strategic leadership and oversight for all areas of information technology services, projects, and partnerships at Columbia College. This includes executive-level planning, leadership, operation, and maintenance of IT services, as well as collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team and other institutional leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee academic and administrative computing, system interfaces and security, telecommunications, hardware, software and cloud-based technologies and storage services
- Manage IT disaster recovery operations, mobile technologies, digital infrastructure, college data centers, computer labs, cybersecurity, and IT policies and strategic plans
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to respond and recover from IT disruptions
- Lead the development and management of system-wide information security plans with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to ensure that the College's internet, video, social media and cloud-supported technologies meet the communication needs of the College
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer information systems, computer engineering or closely related field; Master's degree preferred
- Eight (8) years of professional experience in management of information technology with demonstrated leadership and training skills, preferably within a higher education, governmental, or non-profit environment
- Must have three (3) years of supervisory experience
- Experience in a higher education setting using online and physical classroom teaching methodology preferred
- Ability to organize, plan, oversee, manage and prioritize work; strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and experience with computing, networking, and instructional technologies systems in a college environment
- Ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people at all levels
- Ability to deal with sensitive and highly confidential information and skill in handling sensitive situations with discretion
