About the Role

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our engineering management team. As an Area Manager, you will play a critical role in providing leadership, project management, and accountability to a team of construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Outside Plant Engineers (Project Coordinators) and assign and oversee projects to team members, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Maintain a monthly financial forecast for project management and ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing telecom construction projects and a strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn custom software.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial management.
