Job Summary

Sysco is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to join our team. As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on our fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will work closely with our Fleet Technician II and III to ensure that our vehicles are safe, reliable, and cost-efficient.

Responsibilities
  • Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections on all fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions on vehicles and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Work with our Fleet Technician II and III to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
  • Assist with training and development of new technicians
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training 2-year school (preferred)
  • Current and valid driver's license (CDL Preferred)
  • Basic knowledge and skill of all vehicle systems and components
  • Basic knowledge and skill in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems on all equipment
  • Basic knowledge and skill in welding and cutting (gas, electric, MIG, TIG)
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge
Working Conditions

The associate works non-traditional business hours including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and on-call. The associate may occasionally be required to travel to other operating companies or the corporate office as business needs dictate (i.e. training, business continuation, etc.).
