Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Technician III to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
  • Diagnose and repair complex problems with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Work with other technicians to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair; experience with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks a plus
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems; ability to diagnose and repair complex problems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle
