We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sysco, the global leader in foodservice distribution. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on vehicles and equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and converter dollies, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Work efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure the fleet is always operational.
- Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- ASE certifications in Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks.
- 609 HVAC Certification.
- Experience with computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
- Occasional exposure to wet, hot, extreme cold, and/or humid conditions.
- Occasional exposure to high, precarious places and confined spaces.
- Frequent travel to other locations as needed.
