Job Summary:

Sysco is seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-year school and 4 years of experience or 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Current and valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
  • ASE certifications and/or equivalent experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent deadlines.
  • Occasional travel to other locations may be required.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and physical demands.
