The Facilities department presents an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Facilities Operations Manager. This role is pivotal in overseeing the activities of skilled tradespeople, including plumbers, carpenters, electricians, HVAC specialists, and other maintenance staff, ensuring the continuous operational efficiency of the designated facilities.

  • Guarantees that team members fulfill work assignments promptly and professionally while adhering to all safety protocols. Collects feedback regarding customer satisfaction with facilities services.
  • Addresses employee relations or performance matters with support from Human Resources.
  • Reviews and evaluates various reports, ensuring the resolution of any identified concerns.
  • Assists in maintaining budgets for labor, materials, contractors, and other expenses, providing recommendations for resource optimization.
  • Reviews, assesses, and approves invoices for materials, supplies, and services from external vendors and contractors.
  • Utilizes appropriate systems to compile data and generate reports for budgetary purposes, illustrating cost trends and maintenance frequency.
  • Ensures adequate departmental staffing during holidays, disaster preparedness, and other significant events.
  • Confirms that time cards are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Establishes and continuously evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls within the unit, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that employees receive training on internal controls and organizational policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:

  • Familiarity with business and management principles.
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate departmental operations.
  • Capability to establish departmental goals and objectives that align with the strategic plan.
  • Proficiency in planning, delegating, and supervising the work of others.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train team members.
