About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Manager to join our team at Manitowoc Co. in Lee's Summit, MO. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers in Western Missouri and Northeastern Kansas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet profitability and sales volume goals for the assigned territory
  • Thoroughly understand product offerings and provide expert advice to customers
  • Aggressively approach and locate new customer opportunities
  • Develop and execute a territory management plan to increase market share and profitability
  • Manage sales pipeline and utilize customer databases and industry trends to improve sales penetration
  • Inform management of all developments within the assigned customer base
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous sales experience required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy construction equipment or construction field
  • Understanding of hydraulics, structural or mechanical layout, equipment application
  • High level of Mechanical Aptitude and mathematical skills
  • Computer skills to operate within CRM, quotations, and ERP software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience in negotiating
Working Conditions

This position will be located in a combination shop and office environment, with considerable exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.
