As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for client families and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming experience. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, announcing them to staff, and directing them to the appropriate room. You will also be responsible for answering routine questions, notifying staff of appointments, and maintaining a comfortable environment for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all clients and visitors.
  • Notify staff members of appointments and escort guests to the appropriate room.
  • Answer routine questions and provide information on services, products, and location directions.
  • Immediately notify management of customer service and security issues.
  • Receive deceased belongings from families and follow chain of custody procedures.
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming calls to appropriate staff members.
  • Maintain a comfortable environment for clients, providing beverages and amenities as needed.
  • Maintain the guest-waiting area, disposing of trash, replacing tissues, and straightening furniture.
  • Receive incoming mail and packages.
  • Maintain organized and current electronic and paper files and records.
  • Perform light typing, proofreading, data entry, or printing tasks.
Requirements:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
  • Six months of general office, receptionist, or administrative support experience preferred.
  • Proficient in operating telephones, fax, and copier.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Clear and professional speaking voice and tone.
  • Professional interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Position requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work a schedule including Saturday and/or Sunday and beyond standard business hours.
Compensation:

Salary: $16.00/hr
