Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Flight System Safety Engineer to contribute to our team's success. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and proposing solutions for safety issues, as well as ensuring appropriate action is taken to mitigate these issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify safety issues and propose effective solutions
  • Mitigate safety issues by taking proactive and informed action
  • Work independently as a self-starter, leveraging technical expertise to drive results
  • Communicate complex ideas effectively through both verbal and written channels
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical engineering experience in the aerospace or government sector, or an advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a related field
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical design
  • Specific experience in developing electrical subsystems used in flight termination, such as electronic arm fire devices, flight termination receivers, flight termination controllers, and tracking systems
  • Experience in developing and qualifying flight systems for harsh environments
  • Working knowledge of RCC319
  • Experience in developing destruct termination devices
Location

This position is based in Tucson, Arizona.
