Job Overview:

The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships is in search of a meticulous individual to take on the role of Student Financial Aid Coordinator II for Special Programs. This position involves overseeing the processes related to Study Abroad and Transient enrollment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, robust analytical and organizational skills, and a dedication to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination of Transient Student Programs

  • Oversee the processes for Study Abroad and Florida Virtual Campus.
  • Develop, manage, and execute all components associated with the evaluation and approval or referral of financial aid for study abroad and transient students.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to processes and system outputs for financial aid pertaining to study abroad and transient students.
  • Ensure accuracy and perform data entry for Professional Judgment, Dependency Override, and Unaccompanied Homeless Youth petition results.
  • Assist in updating policies and procedures regarding study abroad and transient enrollment to maintain compliance with current regulations and guidelines.
Additional Duties:
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor, including leading special projects as needed.
  • Occasional travel for financial aid presentations and professional development workshops may be required.
This position may offer a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with institutional policies.

Compensation:

$45,000 annually

Minimum Qualifications:

A Master's degree in a relevant field; or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with two years of pertinent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in student financial aid administration.
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory framework governing financial aid programs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
