Job Overview

Archetype Permanent Solutions is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with NFPA standards.
  • Perform service repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting on fire alarm systems.
  • Program and commission fire alarm systems to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in fire alarm technology.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fire alarm installation and maintenance.
  • NICET II certification (programming experience is a must).
  • Experience with Honeywell NOTIFIER systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72.
  • Ability to work at heights and lift equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Frequent use of stairs, climbing, and descending.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Additional certifications or training in fire alarm systems.
  • Experience working with commercial fire alarm systems.
