Fire Alarm Helper Job Description

At 5 Points Electrical, we're seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Helper to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Helper, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain fire alarm systems, including related cabling and equipment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on CCTV, burglar, fire, keyless access, and intercom equipment.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance functions and building assessments, including physical inspections and written reporting.
  • Inspect and coordinate work performed by authorized vendors to ensure projects meet scope of work, project specifications, and guideline requirements.
  • Maintain strong written and effective oral communication skills for internal and external stakeholders, customers, and peers.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure successful resolution to customer requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of commercial experience.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commercial experience.
  • Computer skills in programming.
  • Skilled with low-voltage wiring and associated devices.
  • NICET certification (preferred).
