Job Summary

Northern Light Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patient schedules and coordinate appointments, rescheduling and following up on missed appointments as needed.
  • Answer all telephone calls, forward where appropriate, or take accurate messages with dates and times.
  • Prepare charts, creating new charts as necessary, and ensure accurate and complete information for patient registration.
  • Process patient registration, including follow-up appointments, testing/procedure scheduling, and collection of co-payments as applicable.
  • Properly document patient records and track provider documentation.
  • Verify encounters and post charges accurately.
  • Maintain safety standards and report any safety issues immediately.
  • Comply with mandatory education requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with variable skills, organization, and independent working conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in software applications.
Working Conditions

Patient Service Representatives may be exposed to abusive and/or aggressive individuals. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as lifting, moving, and loading up to 30 pounds.
