Radiology Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team at SSM Health. As a Radiology Tech, you will be responsible for taking x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes and providing support for the imaging department.
Key Responsibilities- Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and provide educational material.
- Transport patients to and from clinical areas and verify patient identity according to policies and procedures.
- Assist technologists with preparing patients for radiology exams by positioning them for the procedure.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent patient exposure to unnecessary radiation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree or completion of a radiology certification program.
- No experience required.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) certification.
- ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
This position is located in the Urgent Care-Dorsett department and requires a constant state of alertness and safe manner. The work environment is fast-paced and requires frequent standing and walking.

- Shift differentials available for night, weekend, and additional shifts.
