Position Overview: MEP Project Supervisor

We are in search of a proactive and detail-oriented MEP Project Supervisor to oversee all aspects of Framing, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection for our projects, ensuring timely completion and high levels of client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the on-site team of superintendents to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Oversee quality assurance for all trades, utilizing checklists and punch lists.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and monitor work from initial layout through to final commissioning.
  • Review MEP shop drawings to identify potential conflicts and installation guidelines for all equipment.
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings with all trades, including framing, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection, as well as daily briefings.
  • Enforce safety protocols on-site and maintain compliance with safety programs.
  • Engage with regulatory officials for inspections and approvals.
  • Work closely with architects and subcontractors to address RFIs.
  • Maintain detailed logs and expedite processes as necessary.
  • Create and finalize punch lists to ensure all work aligns with contract specifications and incorporates any client modifications.
  • Oversee equipment startups, commissioning, and the preparation of as-built drawings for all MEP systems.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing MEP trades.
  • A four-year degree is preferred.
  • Experience in completing projects valued at $25M or more from inception to completion.
  • Proven experience in mid- to high-rise fast-track residential construction.

Preferred Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of building and mechanical codes, along with expertise in framing, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with Lean Construction practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management software.
  • Experience with Procore.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication abilities to guide and direct skilled trades personnel.
