Layton Construction Inc is seeking a highly skilled MEP Assistant Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for the daily operation of a job site, including scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring timely completion of construction phases.
- Coordinate with project managers to determine project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Direct procurement of tools and materials, ensuring delivery at specified times to meet work schedules.
- Ensure effective communication with all parties involved in the project, including supervisory personnel, craft personnel, subcontractors, and clients.
- Resolve construction problems and improve construction methods through collaboration with supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with specifications and construction schedules.
- Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to achieve project goals.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction-related field or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of MEP commercial construction experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes and building codes.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
