Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to play a crucial role in converting conceptual MEP designs into comprehensive construction documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in drafting and modeling with AutoCAD, demonstrating a commitment to precision and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create accurate MEP drawings using AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop detailed construction documentation.
- Ensure all drawings and models adhere to industry standards and company guidelines.
- Coordinate with various disciplines including Mechanical, Architectural, and Civil.
- Modify drawings based on input from project managers and clients.
- Stay updated on the latest software advancements and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in AutoCAD software; experience with REVIT is a plus.
- Competent in Microsoft Word.
- Previous experience in an MEP firm or related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction drawings, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Architectural.
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision in drafting.
- Able to work effectively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with BIM concepts is advantageous.
- Self-driven, adaptable to change, and enthusiastic about collaboration.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and outstanding communication abilities.
