POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced MEP Project Supervisor to lead the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection elements of our projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that all aspects are completed on schedule and meet our high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate effectively with the on-site team of supervisors.
  • Ensure quality control across all trades through comprehensive checklists and punch lists.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and oversee work from layout to commissioning.
  • Analyze MEP shop drawings to identify potential conflicts and review installation manuals for all equipment.
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings with all trades, including daily briefings.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site.
  • Engage with regulatory officials for inspections and approvals.
  • Work closely with architects and subcontractors to manage Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Maintain detailed logs and expedite processes effectively.
  • Develop and finalize punch lists to ensure compliance with contract specifications and incorporate client modifications as needed.
  • Oversee equipment startups, commissioning, and the preparation of 'as-built' drawings for all MEP systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP trades.
  • A four-year degree is preferred.
  • Experience managing projects valued at $25M or more from inception to completion.
  • Experience in mid- to high-rise fast-track residential construction is essential.
  • Familiarity with building and mechanical codes, as well as various systems including framing, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low voltage.
  • Basic understanding of Lean Construction principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively guide skilled trades personnel.
