Job Summary:

The Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Sterile Processing Tech to join our team. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decontaminate and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and standards.
  • Assemble and prepare instruments and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of medical instruments and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of the Sterile Processing Department.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and leadership to ensure timely and accurate reporting of shift details.

Requirements:

  • Current HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) CRCST or CBSPD certification.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • At least six months of previous SPD experience required.
  • Medical terminology and familiarity with surgical instrumentation preferred.
  • Good organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
