Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Sterile Processing Technician II to join our team at HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's. As a Sterile Processing Technician II, you will be responsible for the decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instruments, trays, and supplies for the Operating Room and other Patient Care Departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, trays, and supplies.
  • Responsible for the decontamination of soiled instruments, utensils, and equipment.
  • Assemble and prepare instruments and equipment for daily surgical procedures.
  • Provide asset management and support of surgical instruments and trays.
  • Develop and establish workflow, process improvements, daily work assignments, log documentation, and management.
Requirements
  • Current IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification is required.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is preferred.
  • High school or GED.
  • Six (6) months minimum SPD experience is required.
  • One (1) year minimum experience as a Central Sterile Technician or SPD is preferred.
