Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Sterile Processing Lead to join our team at HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective processing of surgical instruments, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of Sterile Processing Technicians in the daily operations of the department
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of instrument processing, sterilization, and distribution
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with the SPD Manager to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
  • Provide education and training to staff on sterilization, instrumentation, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Certification as a Central Sterile Processing Technician (IAHCSMM or CBSPD)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year minimum experience as an Instrument Room or Operating Room Technician
  • One (1) year as a lead technician
