Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate and clean medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Perform visual inspections of instruments and equipment to ensure they are free from defects and damage.
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and sterilizers.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records of instrument and equipment processing.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a CSPDT (Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from a recognized accrediting agency.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
