Role of the Physical Therapist

As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients in their journey to recovery. Your expertise will guide individuals in regaining or maintaining their physical health after experiencing an illness, injury, or age-related challenges. Through a variety of therapeutic techniques, you will help alleviate pain, enhance strength and endurance, improve flexibility, and foster better balance, ensuring that patients achieve their optimal functional capacity.

This position requires a proactive approach, as you will manage a caseload of 6 to 8 patients daily, conducting initial assessments, follow-up evaluations, and therapeutic interventions. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse patient backgrounds, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and balance disorders. Our dynamic environment is characterized by collaboration and support, with team members readily available to provide guidance and mentorship.

To excel in this role, being a collaborative team player is essential. You will engage with fellow therapists, patients, and their families to ensure the best possible treatment outcomes. A personable, optimistic, and driven attitude is vital as you strive to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to formulate and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Conduct initial evaluations and periodic re-evaluations to assess patient progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all treatments and monitor any changes in patient status.
  • Customize treatment approaches to meet the unique needs of each patient, utilizing creative problem-solving when necessary.
  • Seek opportunities for professional development and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Provide exemplary care to every patient consistently.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.
  • Valid Physical Therapy License in the State.
  • Current BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
