About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at CHI St. Joseph Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients regain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess patients in a systematic and thorough manner, establishing appropriate treatment plans and goals within specified time frames.
  • Administer appropriate treatments to patients, demonstrating knowledge and skill in the use of therapeutic exercise and activities, manual techniques, transfers, activities of daily living, modalities, and rehabilitation equipment.
  • Instruct and supervise patient care of OT assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and student affiliates in a respectful, courteous, and consistent manner.
  • Maintain timely and accurate medical records, recording legibly in patient charts and completing reports in an organized, thorough, and timely manner.
  • Foster communication with patients and families, other therapists, physicians, nurses, volunteers, and other hospital personnel to achieve goals and establish department support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Licensed by the State of Texas as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • American Heart Association CPR/BLS Certification.
