Amedisys is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As an Occupational Therapist with Amedisys, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families by providing much-needed care in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care to address the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas of need and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, including but not limited to, functional assessments, goal setting, and intervention planning.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Supervise and mentor home health aides as needed.
Requirements
  • Current license to practice occupational therapy in the state of employment.
  • Graduate of an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
  • Eligible to take, or has successfully completed, the entry-level certification examination for occupational therapists developed and administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT).
  • One year of related occupational therapy experience, or approval from regional clinical leaders for less than one year of experience.
  • Current CPR certification.
