Job Summary

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess patients in a systematic and thorough manner to establish appropriate treatment plans and goals.
  • Administer appropriate treatments to patients, including therapeutic exercise and activities, manual techniques, transfers, activities of daily living, modalities, and rehabilitation equipment.
  • Instruct and supervise patient care of OT assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and student affiliates in a respectful and courteous manner.
  • Maintain timely and accurate medical records, including legible notes in patient charts and completion of reports in an organized and thorough manner.
  • Foster communication with patients and families, other therapists, physicians, nurses, volunteers, and other hospital personnel to achieve goals and establish department support.
  • Provide patient and family education, including information on outside resources to meet the patient's specific needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Licensed by the State of Texas as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • American Heart Association CPR/BLS Certification.
