Job Title: Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)

At US Oncology, Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Medical Oncology Clinic setting. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to patients and their families.

Job Summary:

The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients with various types of cancer, including medical oncology, hematology, and supportive care. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, provide education and support to patients and their families, and facilitate communication between healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Facilitate communication between healthcare providers
  • Manage patient medication refill requests and document information in patient charts
  • Schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests, or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients
  • Triage patient phone calls and document relevant information in patient charts
  • Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state
  • 3-5 years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred
