Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients, adhering to national and organizational standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate care plans in alignment with established standards and practices.
- Assess patient health status through interviews regarding current conditions and medical history.
- Identify patient and family needs, providing educational resources and support.
- Offer psychosocial support to patients and their families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and ensure quality patient care.
- Manage patient phone inquiries and document relevant information in patient records.
- Coordinate communication between patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Assist patients in accessing community resources.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Serve as a resource for LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.
The ideal candidate for the Radiation Registered Nurse (RN) position will possess the following qualifications:
Level 2:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program, with a BSN preferred.
- Active RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 3-5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred.
Senior Level (in addition to Level 2 requirements):
- A minimum of five years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred.
