US Oncology, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Full-time Radiation Registered Nurse (RN) to become part of our professional team. This role will be based in a supportive environment focused on patient care.

This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance with no weekend, on-call, or holiday shifts.

This role can be classified as either Level 2 or Senior, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Radiation Registered Nurse (RN):


Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients, adhering to national and organizational standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.

The RN must recognize the physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of care and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives. Compliance with the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards, is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate care plans in alignment with established standards and practices.
  • Assess patient health status through interviews regarding current conditions and medical history.
  • Identify patient and family needs, providing educational resources and support.
  • Offer psychosocial support to patients and their families.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and ensure quality patient care.
  • Manage patient phone inquiries and document relevant information in patient records.
  • Coordinate communication between patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Assist patients in accessing community resources.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Serve as a resource for LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Radiation Registered Nurse (RN) position will possess the following qualifications:

Level 2:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program, with a BSN preferred.
  • Active RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred.

Senior Level (in addition to Level 2 requirements):
  • A minimum of five years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred.
