Overview

US Oncology, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to become part of our team. This role will focus on providing exceptional care in a clinical setting.

This is a full-time position with a standard schedule, offering a work-life balance with no weekend or holiday shifts.

Position Level: This role can be filled at either Level 2 or Senior level, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Role Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients while adhering to established standards and guidelines. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care.
  • Conducting health assessments by gathering patient medical histories.
  • Identifying patient and family needs and providing educational resources.
  • Offering psychosocial support to patients and their families.
  • Facilitating clinical operations and ensuring quality patient care.
  • Managing medication refill requests and documenting in patient records.
  • Coordinating consultations, diagnostic tests, and future appointments.
  • Triaging patient inquiries and documenting relevant information.
  • Facilitating communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Assisting patients in accessing community resources.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Serving as a resource for LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN state license and registration.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience, with a preference for oncology experience.

For Senior Level:

In addition to the Level 2 requirements, candidates should have:

  • Five years of nursing experience, including oncology.

Working Environment:

The work environment may involve exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions typical of an oncology clinic. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires a full range of motion, including lifting and handling patients, as well as standing and walking for extended periods. Candidates should be able to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs and have corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
