Texas Oncology is seeking a Full-time Radiation Registered Nurse (RN) to support our oncology services. This role is essential in providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing radiation therapy.
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance with no weekend, call, or holiday shifts.

Key Responsibilities
The Radiation Registered Nurse (RN) will:
- Provide professional nursing care for patients, adhering to national and company standards.
- Assess health status through patient interviews regarding their current condition and medical history.
- Identify patient and family needs, offering educational resources and psychosocial support.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care, including triaging patient calls and documenting relevant information.
- Coordinate communication between patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Assist patients in accessing community resources.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree from an accredited nursing program, with a BSN preferred.
- A valid RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 3-5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology (for Level 2).
- Five years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology (for Senior Level).
Working Conditions
The work environment may involve exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and ionizing radiation typical of an oncology clinic.
Physical Requirements
This role requires a full range of body motion, including lifting and handling patients, manual dexterity, and coordination. Candidates should be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
