Program Overview

  • Gain a deep understanding of the underwriting process and credit risk assessment
  • Develop skills in financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and loan structure evaluation

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess credit risk using financial statement, cash flow, industry, collateral, guarantor, and loan structure analyses
  • Update financial covenants as needed
  • Run Probability of Default (PD) model with oversight
  • Partner with portfolio managers to support daily underwriting and credit monitoring duties
  • Create client presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Use Dealpoint Profitability Analyzer to assess client relationships and determine RAROC value

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a Business degree (accounting, economics, finance concentrations preferred)
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Basic Excel proficiency (data entry, formatting, charts, basic formulas, Vlookup)
  • Campus involvement/leadership experience
  • Relevant internship/co-op experience
  • Ability to complete both guided and self-directed learning activities
