Job Summary

The Commercial Credit Analyst will play a critical role in the analysis, preparation, and presentation of credit approval memorandums for new, potential, and existing loan opportunities. This position will assist in establishing credit boxes and other eligibility criteria for Lending & Risk Partners, as well as collaborate with the USLP Team to manage optimal workflow and identify process breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of commercial loan approvals, modification approvals, and periodic business reviews, including financial analysis and risk rating assessment.
  • Collaborate with the USLP Team to manage optimal workflow and identify process breakdowns.
  • Participate in frequent calls with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare portfolio analysis using certain approaches and tools, including the USLP Dashboard.
  • Assist in the analysis of individual whole loans and loan pools.
  • Understand and assist in measuring and monitoring the profitability of the portfolio.
  • Liaise with U.S. Loan Program Lending Partners and assist in joint efforts, including loan syndication and data fulfillment.
  • Assist in the periodic review and update of the U.S. Loan Program Policy, Guidelines, Procedures Manual, and other Risk Management and U.S. Loan Committee needs.
  • Assist in preparing reports to the US Loan Committee and the Board of Directors, presenting portfolio activity, performance, and results quarterly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or Finance required.
  • One year of banking and/or financial services experience required.
  • Experience in credit/portfolio analysis and/or portfolio management support is highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial credit analysis for general corporate purposes, mergers, and acquisitions, secured asset financings, and industry verticals.
  • Self-starter, results-oriented, dynamic, and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Understanding of financial/accounting principles, industry assessment, research, due diligence, and skills highly preferred.
  • Credit and risk assessment, as well as exposure to portfolio management and monitoring, and financial exposure to forecasting, performance analysis, and ratio analysis are all desirable skills.
  • Computer skills in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams, Internet Tools, and other operative programs.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US required.
