About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Director, Community Engagement. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families affected by autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to achieve revenue goals for assigned events.
  • Lead and manage volunteer committees to execute fundraising events, including logistics, data entry, and acknowledgments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors, major donors, and third-party partners to secure funding and support.
  • Collaborate with the Outreach Director to implement global campaigns and initiatives in the local area.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of assigned events, including materials management and administrative support.
  • Make presentations to businesses, organizations, and community groups to secure sponsorship and recruit volunteers.
  • Integrate digital marketing initiatives, such as email campaigns and fundraising websites, to support fundraising efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated success in fundraising, with a focus on special events and volunteer management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office 365, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Database knowledge, with experience using Stratus Live and Blackbaud Luminate preferred.
  • Reliable mode of transportation and valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership experience with volunteer committees and fundraising events.
  • Proven track record of multi-functional fundraising experience, including special events, walks, and corporate campaigns.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to secure funding and support from corporate sponsors and major donors.
