About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Manager to join our team at Future Energy Ventures. As a key member of our Commercial Team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the West US market.

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Engaging in business development activities to attract new clients and deliver sales and revenue targets
  • Leading sales engagement for prospective customers, including product demos and campaigns
  • Assisting in expansion opportunity scouting, including direct sales, federal/state/regional innovation funding, and RFPs

You will work closely with our marketing team to build DER market participation and liquidity through professional networking and targeted engagement activities. You will also provide guidance and consulting around market design, launch, and operations for newer utility customers in the region.

As a key account manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of specific named utility clients, ensuring their satisfaction and effective relationship management. You will work with the product team to ensure their work satisfies the customer on the agreed-upon timeline and act as the primary communication link with clients for product feedback and account management.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in customer-facing roles, preferably in the utility, DER, renewable project development, and/or energy markets sector. You should have a demonstrated track record of external stakeholder engagement and management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel periodically for customer meetings or business development opportunities.
