Job Title: Executive Director

The YMCA of the East Bay is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization in achieving its mission and vision. As the chief executive officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy, direction, and operations of the YMCA, ensuring that we continue to provide high-quality programs and services to our members and the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the overall strategic plan for the YMCA, aligning with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Lead and manage a team of senior staff, including department heads and program directors, to ensure effective implementation of programs and services.
  • Oversee the development and management of the YMCA's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including members, donors, community leaders, and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to safety, security, and accessibility.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, non-profit management, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in senior leadership roles, preferably in a non-profit or community organization.
  • Proven track record of success in strategic planning, team leadership, and financial management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
