The YMCA of the East Bay is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the strategic direction and daily operations of our premier residential Camp Loma Mar. As Executive Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality camping and outdoor education programs, while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide visionary leadership to the summer camp director and program staff to develop and execute camping and outdoor education programs that meet the needs of our diverse audience.
- Develop and manage budgets to meet or exceed revenue targets, while ensuring the financial sustainability of the program.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a highly qualified and mission-driven staff team, while promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Marketing to develop and implement a marketing strategy that maintains camp occupancy at 80% or higher.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, foundations, and donors to secure funding and support for the program.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human services, or a related field.
- 6 years of progressive supervisory/leadership experience, with at least 2 years of executive leadership experience.
- Proven track record of successful camping or outdoor education leadership, including innovative program development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to think conceptually and analyze problems.
