Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership to the summer camp program, ensuring high-quality experiences for campers and staff.
  • Develop and implement programs that promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, donors, and stakeholders to support the growth and success of the camp.
  • Manage budgets, finances, and resources to ensure the camp's financial stability and sustainability.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of staff and volunteers to support the camp's programs and operations.
  • Ensure the camp's facilities and equipment are well-maintained and meet the needs of campers and staff.
  • Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to promote the camp's programs and services.
  • Collaborate with the YMCA of the East Bay's leadership team to advance the organization's mission and goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, education, or a related field.
  • 6 years of progressive supervisory/leadership experience in a camp or outdoor education setting.
  • Proven track record of successful program development, staff management, and financial management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer programs necessary to perform the duties of the job.
