Construction Representative I

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Representative I to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for providing field and office support to our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Resident Engineer in coordinating construction activities and ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Perform office management tasks, including preparing meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and tracking logs for RFIs, submittals, and pay estimates.
  • Assist with construction field work tasks, including observing on-site material testing and coordinating testing and monitoring services.
  • Perform mathematical calculations for material quantity payments and review contractor's daily construction reports for accuracy.
  • Consult with the Resident Engineer on work progress and construction problems, and proactively recommend solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level 1 or Construction Manager-in-Training (CMIT).
  • Training in digital construction management software, such as Constructware or Asite.
