Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Analyst I-IV to join our team at the State of Alaska. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting various AHFC applications across the entire Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop modern, secure, and scalable database solutions using T-SQL, ODBC, and other technologies.
  • Design and implement efficient database architectures to support business processes and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues and optimize system performance.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, customer-focused approaches when interacting with AHFC's business partners, clients, and other departments.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in database development and integration.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least one year of full-time work experience in database development and analysis, or relevant experience in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and database management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
