The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Clerk to join our team. As a Unit Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring compliance with ICF/MR requirements and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Filing and maintaining client records in accordance with ICF/MR requirements and regulations.
- Computing ICF/MR staffing ratios and maintaining assigned unit's virtual client folders.
- Providing administrative support, including typing for professional staff and receptionist duties.
- Serving as a backup unit clerk to sister units.
- Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy.
- Files reports in Virtual Client Folders to ensure the availability of pertinent information for use by facility staff.
- Files reports and forms in client records to ensure the availability of pertinent information for use by facility staff.
- Thins client records per facility retention schedule to maintain charts in good condition.
- Calculates and maintains unit staffing ratios for use by administration and outside agencies as needed.
- Informs supervisor of the receipt of monthly assessment data and monthly filing data from designated unit and facility staff.
- Enters monthly assessment data in facility databases to track facility compliance with applicable internal and external audits.
- Experience in office or related clerical work.
- Ability to type thirty-five to forty words per minute.
- Working knowledge of routine office practices and procedures.
- Working knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and math.
- Skills in operating standard office machines.
- Ability to organize materials and activities.
- Ability to deal with the public and co-workers in a pleasant, effective manner.
- Experience in working with computers.
- Ability to understand and carry out moderately complex oral and written instructions.
