**Job Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Community Service Board of Middle Georgia. As an LPN in our Crisis Stabilization Unit, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises or substance use issues.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, including those with varying abilities. You will engage with assigned families and their formal and informal supports to determine their needs and strengths, and coordinate with all involved to ensure their progress moves in the right direction.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Administer prescribed medications as needed
  • Administer TB Skin Test and others as required
  • Compose and consume MARS
  • Assist Medical Doctor (MD) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) while on rounds
  • Order labs as requested from the appropriate providers
  • Ensure that all medications are listed on the medication consent forms and have consumer and rounding provider signatures on a regular basis
  • Answer incoming calls into the clinic and handle requests appropriately, seeking assistance from staff or supervision if necessary
  • Collect, label, and package lab specimens for pickup by lab courier as needed
  • Document lab results, notifying the proper medical provider of any critical values and placing lab results in patient charts
  • Educate consumers on medication given prior to administering
  • Provide support for all members of the CSU as needed
  • Identify and respond to all emergencies that may arise

**Requirements:**

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent
  • Valid Georgia LPN licensure
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines accordingly
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position (which include but are not limited to moving/transporting patients, furniture, driving vehicles, etc.)

**Estimated Salary:** $50,000-$60,000 per year based on qualifications and experience. This salary is competitive and reflects the importance of this role in providing quality care to our community.
